The Raster collection offers a playful take on the traditional mosaic, reimagined in a 150x150mm porcelain format suitable for floors and walls. Raster is a high-performance dry-pressed porcelain tile featuring a distinctive pressed surface. The recessed detailing is designed to receive grout, incorporating it into the overall design for a seamless finish. Unlike conventional square-edge tiles, where grout fills a full-depth joint between tiles, Raster features an engineered surface channel. Grout sits within this pressed relief, adding definition and texture without compromising structural performance.The recessed detail is finished with an engobe - a fired ceramic slip permanently bonded to the tile during manufacturing. This is not a sealer or surface coating; it behaves as part of the ceramic body and is fully compatible with grout adhesion when installed correctly. 

Important Installation Notes:

Grout Compatibility 
Earp recommends the following high-performance, polymer-modified grouts for use with Raster: Mapei Ultracolor Plus 100 or 103 - walls only Mapei Kerapoxy Easy Design - walls and floors 

Grout Joint: 
Raster must be installed with a minimum 2mm grout joint to ensure proper alignment, consistent spacing, and visual continuity across the pressed surface. 

Size Mixing: When combining formats within the Raster series, check sizing prior to laying and plan layouts carefully. As with all dry-pressed porcelain, minor size tolerances can occur between production batches.
