Sensi Terre Brick

Manufactured in Italy by Florim and designed by Matteo Thun & Partners, Sensi Terre Brick translates the warmth of raw earth into a high-performance architectural surface.
A companion to the core Sensi Terre range, this collection delivers entirely carbon-neutral, B Corp certified porcelain engineered for forward-thinking Australian architecture.

origins.

Perfectly imperfect.

Sensi Terre began as a study of clay itself.

The colour, grain, & warmth that centuries of hand-craft have given to fired earth. Matteo Thun & Partners took that concept & translated it into porcelain, using Florim's manufacturing precision to hold onto the imperfection that makes clay feel alive.

Brick extends that idea into a smaller, more architectural format. Where the original Sensi Terre range speaks in floors and large-format walls, Brick speaks in coursing, light refraction, and lineal rhythm.

It's designed to sit alongside the broader Sensi Terre collection, so a single project can move between large-format floors and brick-scale feature walls without breaking the story.

the format.

Three Surfaces, One System.

Sensi Terre Brick is built as three tiles at a single working size (57 x 232 x 8.5mm), so they can run independently or combined within the one installation, without resizing a setout.

  • Brick - an undulating field tile with an irregular, unrectified organic edge. Wall applications only.
  • Onda 5 - an angular wave surface, for a sharper dimensional shadow line. Onda is Italian for "wave."
  • Onda 7 - a linear dimensional stripe, for a more restrained, directional texture.

All three carry a silk finish, sit at the same 8.5mm thickness, and share the same unrectified profile, meaning Brick, Onda 5, and Onda 7 can be layered together in one wall to build depth without a jump in scale or joint width.

the palette.

Six Earths, One Tonal Range.

The Sensi Terre Brick palette runs the full tonal register of fired clay, so a single wall can be built from one colour, or blended across several without interrupting the aesthetic language.

Cotone: Soft, chalky off-white.
Sabbia: Warm, light natural-clay beige.
Rosato: Earthy terracotta with a soft pink undertone.
Mattone: Medium brick red, classic fired clay.
Amaranto: Deep earthy red with mineral warmth.
Carbone: Deep, warm charcoal brown.

the standard.

Built Like Porcelain. Behaves Like Clay.

Handmade terracotta and clay brick carry real character, and real risk. Colour and sizing vary, surfaces require sealing - these become a conversation on site.

Sensi Terre Brick is built to give architects the same material quality, with none of the exposure:

  • Consistent sizing and colour, batch to batch;
  • Low water absorption - suitable for wet areas and submersion;
  • No sealing required;
  • A durability that stands up to commercial specification, without losing the tactility of the original material.

Florim is a certified B Corp - one of the first ceramic manufacturers globally to hold the accreditation - meeting independently verified standards for environmental and social performance. Sensi Terre Brick is manufactured within that same framework: closed-loop water use, recovered production waste, and a significant share of on-site energy generation.
