Stone With Provenance.
Durango draws from travertine quarried in Veracruz, Mexico - sedimentary limestone formed over millennia by mineral-rich hot springs pressing through calcium-dense earth. Tested at 98% calcium carbonate content, it sits alongside the travertines of Rome in terms of purity.
These attributes give Durango its character - fine horizontal banding, controlled tonal movement, and the kind of depth that comes from reference material that was the right thing to draw from in the first place.
Bone | Acero.
Durango Bone holds close to the source, warm cream with the soft, almost dusty quality of travertine.
Durango Acero reads from the cooler, more mineral edge of the same stone. Contemporary in register without losing the variation inherent to the reference.
Both shift with light across the day. Both carry the same fine horizontal banding across the face. No two installations read exactly the same.
