Architectural Porcelain

The Biotech Collection.

Manufactured in Italy by Florim, Biotech is an architectural surface where technical performance meets environmental responsibility. Available in five stone-inspired colourways, this collection belongs to the CarbonZero range - delivering entirely carbon-neutral, B Corp certified, high-performance porcelain engineered for forward-thinking Australian architecture.

Stone Without Limits.

Biotech is Florim's collection of industrial stones, developed for architectural projects where scale and restraint matter equally.

The collection translates the honesty of natural stone - limestone, sandstone, soapstone - into porcelain, across five colourways: Crema Stone, Stonewood, Lapis Greige, Serizzo Stone, and Soap Stone.

Sizes run from large-format slabs at 120x280cm down to 300x600mm, with the MAGNUM panel format extending even further.

Built as a system rather than a single product, Biotech moves between facades, floors, and feature walls without losing consistency of colour or finish.

The Luxury of Scale.

Each colour is produced across a working range of thicknesses, from 6mm panels through to 20mm pavers, on Florim's large-format slab technology.

Two surface finishes are available - Matt and Slip Resistant - with rectified edges for consistent installation. Beyond the classic flat field tile, Biotech introduces 'Cannete, a tactile, linearly structured surface designed to catch light dimensionally and create rhythm across a wall. For spaces demanding seamless visual continuity, the collection extends to MAGNUM: expansive, ultra-thin 6mm slabs reaching up to 2.8 metres in height.

The range is built to specify with confidence. Whether applied individually or layered together, they offer complete creative freedom.

Design With Impact. Zero Footprint.

Biotech is built on Florim's approach to sustainable manufacturing: environmentally green production methods that prioritise energy efficiency, remove pollutants from production, and hold suppliers to verified environmental and quality standards.

Florim was the first ceramic manufacturer in the world to achieve B Corp certification, a leading accreditation that recognises and verifies environmental and social performance.

The collection also sits within CarbonZero, Florim's range of Carbon Neutral surfaces, where the full lifecycle CO2 emissions of every tile are offset through certified carbon credits and investment in clean energy projects.

performance without compromise.

Nothing Goes To Waste.

Biotech is made in Sassuolo, in the heart of Italy's ceramic district, where Florim has spent over sixty years refining a closed-loop approach to production. Every drop of water used in manufacturing is recycled, all production waste is recovered, and up to 100% of the energy that powers the factory is generated on site.
