Nestled in the beautiful NSW South Coast village of Vincentia, Stay.Casita has recently been transformed from an original 90’s brick home to a beautifully renovated and styled luxury retreat. Designed for short stays, long weekends or for brands and businesses who are looking for a unique relaxed location to shoot their products.

Stay. Casita has been thoughtfully and carefully designed and curated by The Life Style Edit Founder and ex Pacific Magazines Style Director Heidi Albertiri and her husband Douk Konstantaras. Relaxed yet beautiful in it’s style, Heidi has filled Casita with beautiful textures, finishes, luxury linens and furniture in collaboration of some of Australia’s most incredible interiors and design brands.

“We have poured our hearts and soul into creating this little house and I just want people to notice all the details, the little things, every single thing has been put in the house for a reason and that is to be purposeful, beautiful and to bring joy” says Heidi. “I wanted to create a look and feel of pair backed, effortless styling that will allow all visitors to melt into the minute they step through the door" she adds.

Q: Why did you select Earp Bros for your tile partner on this project?

A: When I was planning the interiors and the look and feel of Casita one thing was clear, and that was we wanted the space to be neutral with beautiful textures and finishes. To be honest we didn’t look anywhere else. Earp Bros aligned with us every step of the way, from the love of each and every product to the story of how products are made. The history of things and the story is just as important to me as the finished product and adds to the layers that create a home.

Q: What were you looking for in terms of tile characteristic, quality, aesthetic and styles?

A: We wanted natural and hand made. We were going for a Mediterranean / Bali villa feel for the entire space. So it was important that materials supported that. We wanted people to want to walk up to everything and run their hands over the walls and feel everything. It was about tapping into all the sensors so that the overall experience left people feeling calm and connected to the space. The tiles we have chosen and the colours we have gone for speak to that completely and I have witnessed first hand people walking up to the tiles and running their hands all over them. Thats when you know you’ve nailed the brief.

Q: How do you feel about your tile selections now they are installed?

A: I love that every day that I have a shower or a bath that I discover another tile and its uniqueness. The way the light hits them at different times of the day. The way, they are not perfect but are totally perfect. The sink we tiled and had custom made and all the trades thought I was crazy but the sink is one of my favourite additions and I can only see it getting better with age. The choices we have made have finished the space and given it the feel that we are after and there is nothing but love for the choices we have made.

"For anyone sitting on the fence about what tile to choose, go with your instinct, work out how you want to feel when you are in the space and create to that brief, don’t be scared of imperfections, that’s where the beauty lies and most of all choose what you love for now, not for when you might sell in 10 or 15 years! Tiles don’t have to be something that you have to have in a space that gets looked over because, choose tiles that work with the aesthetic of your project and let them work their magic to enhance the space." - Heidi Albertiri.
