Established in 1883 by George Frederick Earp, for more than 140 years Earp Bros have adapted and evolved as purveyors of quality goods. From the port-side city of Newcastle, surviving two World Wars, and the Great Depression, we have remained 100% family-owned and operated.
Our business is shaped by the expectation of future generations, set by the strong foundation of what has come before.
Our involvement with many industries over the years has resulted in a reputation built upon a foundation of reliability and longevity. With roots in the coal trade, and the supply of quality imported goods from Europe, our company very quickly surfaced as a trusted name in Newcastle and Australia.
Earp Bros as a company has changed and evolved by design, to meet the needs of a rapidly changing world. In the early 1900's we were among Australia’s first importers of the Model T Ford, operating as Earp Motors, and later emerged as distributors for many iconic Australian manufacturers such as Arnott’s, and high quality construction materials including, of course, tiles.
For the last 20 years we have focused our vision as a business on becoming Australia’s most trusted and exclusive supplier of the world’s highest quality hard surface materials, including ceramic and porcelain tiles, natural stone and innovative surface products.
We are today a 6th generation company led by brothers Michael and Richard Earp.
